Styling your Content

This guide provides an overview of how to work with content in the platform, specifically on dragging content, differentiating between types of entities, styling connections, and customizing text.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Adding Content:

    • To begin, click the button to drag content or access your library of pre-prepared material.
  2. Entity Differentiation:

    • You can differentiate between various entity types, such as Company and Person.
    • To align entities, simply drag the dot to your desired position, which you can anchor for precision.
  3. Drawing and Editing Lines:

    • To draw a connection line between entities, drag the dot to the appropriate spot.
    • You can modify the line’s position by dragging it back or anchoring it elsewhere as needed.
    • Editing lines is simple—just click to style them or adjust the type of connection.
  4. Styling and Types of Connections:

    • Click on the connection to style it. For instance:
      • Ownership connections are predefined with a specific visual style.
      • Transaction connections will change appearance based on your selection.
    • You can toggle text visibility for these connections (e.g., hiding text in ownership links).
  5. Additional Styling Options:

    • Clicking "More" in the styling menu provides further options:
      • Add a strike-through.
      • Disable animation.
      • Hide arrows or other visual elements, depending on your preferences.
  6. Editing Text:

    • To change the text, click on the text area associated with a connection. You can predefine text or edit it directly.
    • For example, if you’re editing a percentage, type in the value (e.g., 5%), then click elsewhere to apply it.
    • The text follows along with the connection line and remains attached to its designated position.
  7. Managing Folders and Styling Defaults:

    • Organize your content by creating folders and subfolders. Inside each folder, you can manage the default styles and settings for connections, such as allowing users to input arbitrary values.
    • The system comes pre-loaded with a color scheme, but if you need updates, you can adjust them or request assistance.
