🎥 Export a timeline to PDF, PowerPoint, or Word

Juristic makes it easy to share and present your timeline by exporting it in different formats. Whether you need a quick screenshot, a full PDF report, or a structured PowerPoint, the export function gives you flexibility. This guide explains the available options and when to use them.

How to Export

  1. Click the Export button at the top of your timeline

  2. Choose from several export formats, depending on your needs

Export Options

Snipping tool

Provides a screenshot function for capturing a selected portion of the timeline

PDF export

Opens a settings window where you can:

  • Select which events to include

  • Hide or show timestamps

  • Decide whether to include internal notes

  • Attach original files (emails, attachments, documents) so they appear in the export alongside the timeline

PowerPoint export

  • Linear version: Shows all events in sequence, best for smaller timelines

  • Relative version: Preserves spacing between events (e.g. gaps of months or years are displayed). Useful for showing event density.

Warning: large timelines can stretch to thousands of slides depending on the content, so this works best for focused subsets

Excel export

  • Exports events into a structured spreadsheet for sorting, filtering, or further analysis

Word export

Creates a written report-style output, good for sharing narrative summaries

Litigation Document Center

The litigation documents center can create different types of litigation documents based on the Timeline and will export to a Word document. This requires set-up with your organisation. If you're in doubt, please reach out to your Juristic contact.

Key Takeaway

Juristic Timeline gives you multiple ways to export and share your work. By choosing the right format and settings, you can tailor the output for presentations, internal collaboration, or litigation-ready documentation.
