How to use automations in Juristic Flow

Juristic Flow's automation features simplify task management and communication. In this guide, we’ll demonstrate how to use the Automation Centre by two examples: 1) Linking tasks with date offsets & 2) Sending email notifications for key dates.

This way you can easily automatically update dependent tasks when deadlines shift, and notify responsible individuals about deadlines. These examples showcase the potential of the Automation Centre. For tailored automation ideas, reach out to our support team at helpnest@juristic.io.

Example 1: Creating dependent tasks with date offsets

  1. Add Tasks:

    • Create two tasks and assign each a deadline.
  2. Link Tasks:

    • Select the first task and use the dependency option "Date offset" to link it to the second task.
  3. Set a Date Offset:

    • Define the number of days between the two tasks (e.g., Task B starts 3 days after Task A's deadline).
    • Save your changes.
  4. Test the Automation:

    • Adjust the deadline of Task A to see Task B automatically update based on the set offset.

Why use this?
This ensures task deadlines adjust dynamically, reducing manual updates and ensuring timeline accuracy.

Example 2: Sending email notifications for key dates

  1. Set Up a Notification Rule:

    • Open the Automation Centre and select "Create Automation."
    • Choose "Notify by Email" as the automation type.
  2. Define the Trigger:

    • Specify when the email should be sent (e.g., five days before the task deadline).
  3. Customise the Email:

    • Add recipients (responsible team members).
    • Use the text editor to write a personalised message outlining important details or action items.
  4. Activate the Automation:

    • Save and enable the automation rule.

Why use this?
It ensures everyone stays informed and reduces the risk of missed deadlines.
