Put people in the right groups automatically
The firm's Entra groups linked to groups in Juristic, so people land in their practice groups when they sign in.

The firm already keeps its teams in Microsoft Entra ID: a group for the M&A team, one for disputes, one for the Copenhagen office. Instead of adding each new lawyer to the same groups again in Juristic, you link each Entra group to its Juristic group once, and anyone in it is added when they sign in through single sign-on.
Before you start, the firm needs single sign-on through Entra ID: see set up single sign-on for the firm. The question that decides each link: which Juristic group should everyone in this Entra group be in?
Link an Entra group
Open the menu under your name and click Admin panel. Under Access & Security, click Groups & SSO.
Next to SSO group links, click Manage Azure AD Links. Microsoft Entra ID (SSO) Group Management opens.
Under Juristic Groups, click the group people should land in. Type in Search in Juristic to find it in a long list.
Under Microsoft Entra Groups, find the Entra group with Search in Entra, and click its link button (Link Entra group). It moves to the top of the list, and the bar under the lists shows how many Active connections the Juristic group has.
Link more Entra groups to the same Juristic group if the team is spread over several, or pick another Juristic group and carry on. Click Close when you are done.
From then on, everyone in a linked Entra group is added to the Juristic group as a member when they sign in through single sign-on, including people who sign in for the first time.
When a group is not in the list
The Entra list shows the groups Juristic has seen when people signed in through single sign-on. If a group is missing, ask one person in it to sign in to Juristic through single sign-on, and it appears.
If the firm does not have single sign-on yet, the dialog explains how group sync works instead. Click Contact Customer Success, and your Customer Success Representative follows up.
Tips from practice
- Renaming in Entra ID breaks the link. Juristic links Entra groups by name. If IT renames a group, open Manage Azure AD Links, link the group again under its new name, and unlink the old name with Unlink Entra group.
- Linking only adds people. People who leave a linked Entra group, and the members of an Entra group you unlink, keep their place in the Juristic group. When a lawyer moves team or leaves, take them out in Juristic too: see offboard a lawyer who leaves the firm.
- One practice group, one Juristic group. Link the Entra groups IT already keeps for practice groups and offices. Matter teams change too often to mirror in Entra ID; staff them on the matter instead: see bring your team into the matter.
