See everything you owe across your deals

Your tasks from every board in one list, grouped by when they are due, with your own columns.

Screenshots are taken from the app on every release. Updated 13 October 2026.

You are on four deals at once, each with its own checklist board. Opening every board each morning to find what is yours takes longer than the work. My work collects the tasks assigned to you from every board, in every matter, into one list sorted by when they are due.

The question that decides the set-up is what counts as due and what counts as done on each board. Boards are built differently, so you tell My work which columns to read.

Open your list

  1. Click My work in the sidebar. The page is headed My work everywhere.

  2. Read the list by when things are due. Your tasks are grouped from Earlier and Past week through Today, This week, Next week and This month to Later and Without a date. Each group shows how many tasks are in it; click the arrow beside a group to open it. Today opens by itself.

  3. Click a cell to change it as you would on the board: tick off a status, move a date. A greyed-out cell is a column the task's own board does not have.

Opened from inside a matter, the page is headed My work in this matter and shows only that matter's tasks. Use it on the day you work on one deal only.

Choose what the list reads

  1. Click Customise.

  2. Under Boards, untick the boards you do not want in the list, such as a knowledge board you are only watching, and click Save.

  3. Under Date Column, choose for each board the column that holds the deadline. My work sorts the tasks into Today, This week and the other groups by that column.

  4. Under Status Column, choose for each board the column that holds the status.

  5. Under People, choose whose tasks you see. The list starts with the tasks assigned to you; a supervising associate can pick the trainees they look after as well and click Save, or turn on Show everyone's tasks. Show unassigned tasks brings in tasks nobody has taken yet.

  6. Under Show columns, tick the columns you want beside each task, such as the matter, the deadline and the status.

People, Boards, Date Column and Status Column each have their own Save; the switches and the columns under Show columns take effect as you change them. Your choices are kept with your account.

Keep the list to what is open

  1. Click Hide and tick Hide completed to leave out finished tasks. It is on unless you have turned it off.
  2. Tick Hide empty groups if you would rather not see groups with nothing in them.

A task counts as finished when its status is one the board marks as a success criterion. On the board, open a status cell, click Edit status, click the icon beside each status that finishes a task, such as Done or Signed, and click Save.

Arrange the columns

Drag a column header left or right to change the order. The order is saved to your account, so it is the same on every computer. The task's name stays first.

Tips from practice

  • Set the date and status columns once per board. A task without a deadline in the column My work reads lands in Without a date, and a finished task on a board without a success criterion never drops off. If a deal looks wrong in the list, check those two settings for its board first.
  • Your firm may have chosen the columns. If Show columns says You are using your organisation's columns., an administrator has set the defaults. After you change them, Use the organisation's columns takes you back. Administrators: see choose the My Work columns for everyone.
  • The Calendar view. Click Date view to switch to Calendar view when you want to see the week laid out, for example before agreeing to a new deadline.
