Counsel needs the notice of breach and the claim form from Project Alpha, or the partner wants the Word memo you have drafted in JuristIQ. Ask for the files in the chat and collect them from the download card beneath the answer. Decide whether you need the original documents, a file JuristIQ has made, or both.
Ask for the files
Open JuristIQ from the matter, or return to the chat where JuristIQ made the file. If you need to choose the documents first, follow ask JuristIQ about the matter's documents.
Name the files you need in one request: "Give me the notice of breach and the claim form from Project Alpha in one download." For a draft, name its format: "Make the final memo above as a Word document."
Read the answer and check the file name on its Download card. A collection of files can arrive as one zip rather than separate cards.
Download and check the files
Click the download card. For a collection of matter documents, the link opens a download page and starts the download in your browser. If it does not start, click Download documents.
Open the downloaded file, or extract the zip, and check that it contains the documents and versions you requested before handing it over.
If a card shows Download link valid until followed by a date, download before that date. If it says The link has expired. Ask for the file again., request a fresh download in the chat. A document download page with an expired link also tells you to ask JuristIQ for the documents again.
Tips from practice
- Name each document precisely. Include the title or version when the matter has several drafts of the same agreement.
- Keep a draft's sources beside it. A downloaded memo still needs checking against the documents; use check JuristIQ's answer against its sources.
- Keep the conversation separately when it matters. Download Chat to Word saves the requests and answers, rather than the files you asked JuristIQ to make. See draft a memo from the matter's documents.
For documents selected from a review table, follow download the documents behind a finding. To file the checked output with the team, see keep the matter's documents in order.
