Check the firm's audit trail
A filtered record of role changes, deactivations and policy changes, exported for the file.
Screenshots are taken from the app on every release. Updated 13 October 2026.
The risk team wants to know who gave a colleague access to a restricted matter last month. A client's information security questionnaire asks how the firm tracks administrator changes. Or you are preparing for an internal audit. The audit log in Juristic records who changed what in your organisation's settings and access, and when, and you can export the part you need.
Two questions decide how you filter. What kind of change are you looking for? And over which period?
Open the audit log
- Open Admin panel from your user menu, and under Access & Security choose Audit log.
Narrow it down
Choose an Action to see one kind of change, for example User role changed, User deactivated or Data retention policy updated.
Choose an Actor to see what one person did. Changes made by Juristic support staff appear under Support, and changes Juristic makes on its own appear under System.
Set From and To to the period in question.
Read the entries
Each row shows the Time, the Actor, the Action, the Target it was done to and the Details.
Export it for the file
Click Export CSV. The download holds the rows that match your filters, up to 10,000 of them, so set the filters first.
The export is itself recorded in the log, as Audit log exported.
What to filter on
| The question | Action to choose |
|---|---|
| Who changed someone's role in Juristic? | User role changed |
| When was a user deactivated, and by whom? | User deactivated |
| When did the retention policy change? | Data retention policy updated |
| Did Juristic support look at the organisation's data? | Support viewed organisation data |
Tips from practice
- Review role changes regularly. Filter on User role changed each month and check that everyone who gained admin rights should have them.
- Export with the filters on. A CSV of one action over one period answers the question; a CSV of everything leaves the reader to find it.
- Keep the export with the request. When the log answers a client or regulator, file the CSV with the correspondence, so the answer and its evidence stay together.
