Check a Danish company's tax position

A Danish company's published taxable income and tax, its joint taxation group and administration company.

Screenshots are taken from the app on every release. Updated 13 October 2026.

Before a share purchase, a reorganisation or a financing, the tax team needs a first view of where each Danish company stands: its taxable income, its corporate tax, and which joint taxation it belongs to. The Danish tax authorities publish this for every company, and the Data tool shows it company by company, year by year.

Two questions decide what you read. Does the company settle its own tax, or is it jointly taxed under another company? And which income year matters for the work in hand?

Open the company's tax information

  1. Click Data tool in the sidebar, search for the company in Search for a company or a person, and open it.

  2. Click the Tax information tab. The tab is there for Danish companies only, and greyed out for companies registered elsewhere. If the company is not on the published tax lists, it reads No tax information.

  3. Pick the income year under Year. The newest published year is shown first.

The same tab is in a structure. Point at a Danish company on the chart, click the information icon (Information) and open Tax information in the panel that opens.

Read the figures

The heading tells you the company's place in the joint taxation for that year:

What the heading says What it means Where the figures are
Settling company The company settles its own tax: on its own, or as the administration company of a joint taxation On this company
Settling company with the Administration company label It administers a joint taxation, and the figures cover the joint taxation as a whole On this company, with the jointly taxed companies listed below
Jointly taxed subsidiary Its tax is reported by its administration company On the administration company it links to

For a settling company, the tab shows Taxable income, Deficit and Corporate tax in Danish kroner, as Skattestyrelsen publishes them. Increased income tax appears for the companies it applies to. Under the heading, Tax liability provision names the provision the company is taxed under, and the labels Tonnage taxed or Hydrocarbon taxed show a company taxed under those special regimes; for a hydrocarbon taxed company, the tax, income and deficit under each chapter are listed separately.

Follow the joint taxation

  1. On an administration company, Companies in the joint taxation (4) lists every company in the joint taxation for the year; the number in brackets counts them. Click a name to open that company in the Data tool.

  2. On a jointly taxed subsidiary, the tab reads The tax figures of this company are reported on its administration company: and names it. Click the name to open the administration company and read the figures there.

  3. If a subsidiary lists more than one administration company for a year, it changed joint taxation during that year, typically because it was sold or moved within the group. That is worth a question to the client.

Tips from practice

  • The lists lag behind. Skattestyrelsen publishes the figures well after the income year ends, so the most recent year you need may not be there yet. Pick the year deliberately rather than assuming the first one is current.
  • A first view, not a tax opinion. The published figures do not explain themselves. Confirm the position with the client's tax advisers before it goes into a report.
  • Check the joint taxation against the structure. A company you expected in the joint taxation but find missing, or one you did not expect, often points to an ownership change the chart does not show yet. See trace ownership through the group.
  • Look at several years. A change of administration company or a sudden deficit is easier to see when you step through the years one after the other.
