See the deal's deadlines in a calendar

A calendar of the board's dates beside your own Outlook events, so you see the deal's deadlines week by week.

Screenshots are taken from the app on every release. Updated 13 October 2026.

The deal checklist tells you what has to happen; it does not show you when it all lands. A week with the signing, two filings and a board meeting looks no different from a quiet one in a table. A calendar view of the board puts every task on its date, and with your Outlook connected you see the deal's deadlines next to your own meetings and the other matters you are running.

Two questions decide how you set it up. Which dates matter this week? A board often has an internal deadline and an external one, a signing date and a filing date. And whose work are you looking at? Your own, or the whole team's.

Add a calendar view to the board

  1. Open the board and click Add view (the plus beside the view names). Adding a view is open to the board's managers.

  2. Leave Starting point at the top on All columns, so the calendar has every date column on the board to work with, and choose Calendar.

  3. Under Select a date column, pick the date column the view is built on, or choose Create new date column (a single day per task) or Create new date range column (a start and an end) if the board has none yet. Give the view a Title, such as "Deadlines", and click Create.

The calendar shows every date column in the view, not only the one you picked. You choose which ones appear in the next section.

Read the calendar

  1. Switch between Month, Week and Day in the top right. Month is for planning the run-up to signing or closing; Week and Day show what is due now. Use the arrows to move forward or back and Today to come back.

  2. If the board has more than one date column, click a column's name under Date columns in the left-hand panel to show or hide it, and use the colour button beside the name to change its colour. A task with both an internal and an external deadline appears once for each, in each column's colour. The colours you pick are kept in your browser only; colleagues see their own.

  3. If the board has a People column, click names under People to hide or show each colleague's tasks, so you can look at one person's deadlines, or at what is still Unassigned.

  4. Click a task to open it beside the calendar. You can change its dates and other fields there, if you can edit the board, and the Open comments & activity button takes you to the full task.

  5. Click an empty day to add a task on that date: type the title, choose the task group if the board has several, and click Create.

The right-hand panel lists what is Upcoming day by day. Close it with Collapse sidebar when you need the room, and bring it back with Expand sidebar.

See your Outlook events beside the deal

  1. At the bottom of the right-hand panel, under Outlook, click the button to connect with Microsoft and sign in with your work account. The sign-in opens in a pop-up window, so allow pop-ups for Juristic if your browser blocks it.

  2. Your Outlook events now appear in blue beside the board's tasks, in Month, Week and Day. They are read-only: Juristic shows them but does not change them, and your colleagues do not see them.

  3. Use the switch next to Outlook to hide your events for a while without disconnecting. To stop the connection altogether, click Disconnect in the same panel.

Tips from practice

  • One colour for each kind of date. Give the external deadlines a colour that stands out, such as red, and keep internal targets and meeting dates calmer, so the dates that cannot move are the ones you see first.
  • The closing week. In the run-up to closing, switch to Week and turn off every date column except signing and closing, so you see exactly what has to land and when. The columns you hide are shown again the next time you open the calendar.
  • Check your diary before you promise a date. With Outlook connected, you see that the CP satisfaction date falls on the day you are in a hearing on another matter before you agree to it.

To set the dates in the first place, see plan the deal timetable. To get the dates into the team's own Outlook calendars, see put the deal dates in the team's Outlook calendars, and to be reminded before each one, get reminded before a deadline.
