Tell everyone in the firm about a change
An announcement everyone in the firm sees in a popup the next time they open Juristic, repeated as often as you choose.
Screenshots are taken from the app on every release. Updated 13 October 2026.
Something is changing for everyone who uses Juristic: a new product is switched on, the firm's templates have moved, or there is a deadline to sign in through single sign-on. Emails get filed unread. An announcement in Juristic reaches people at the moment they are about to use it.
Two questions decide the settings. What should people do, and by when? That is the message. And how often should someone who has read it see it again? That is the period.
Write and switch on the announcement
Click Admin panel at the bottom of the sidebar, and under Organisation click Announcement.
Write the message in the editor. Lead with what people have to do and by when, then one line on why and who to ask. The editor takes bold, colour and numbered or bulleted lists, so the action can stand out.
In Show every, enter how many days pass before someone sees the announcement again. 1 shows it the first time a person opens Juristic each day. You can choose anything from 1 to 365 days.
Turn on Show announcement and click Save.
What people see
The next time someone opens Juristic, the announcement opens in a popup. They close it with Got it, and it stays away until the period in Show every has passed.
The popup is remembered per browser, not per person. Someone who uses Juristic on two computers sees it once on each.
If you change the text and save, everyone sees the new version the next time they open Juristic, even if they closed the old one an hour ago. Changing only Show every, or turning the announcement off and on again, does not show it again to people who have already closed it.
Take it down
When the change is done, turn off Show announcement and click Save. The popup stops, and the text stays in the editor for next time.
How often to show it
| The change | Show every | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A one-off notice, such as a new product switched on | 30 days or more | People read it once; take it down before the period comes round again |
| A deadline this week, such as moving to single sign-on | 1 day | Everyone is reminded each day until it is done |
| A standing reminder, such as where the firm's templates live | 7 days | Often enough to stick, not so often it is ignored |
Tips from practice
- Fix typos before you switch it on. Every saved change to the text shows the announcement to everyone again.
- One change per announcement. A popup with three items gets closed before the second one is read.
- Turn it off when it no longer applies. An announcement about a past deadline teaches people to close the popup without reading it.
