Set the firm's policies for Juristic

Who may create groups, how support requests reach Juristic and how initials appear, set once for everyone.

Screenshots are taken from the app on every release. Updated 13 October 2026.

A few decisions about Juristic are the firm's, not each lawyer's: who may open a new client or practice group, whether people contact Juristic support themselves or go through your own IT, and how colleagues' initials appear on boards and comments. You set them once, as the organisation's admin, and they apply to everyone.

Two questions decide the settings. Who keeps the list of groups tidy: everyone, or the admins? And who should hear about a problem first: Juristic support, your IT team, or both?

Set the policies

  1. Click Admin panel at the bottom of the sidebar and open General. The policies are in the Policies card. Each one saves as soon as you change it.

  2. Turn on Only admins can create groups if the firm wants a tidy, agreed list of client and practice groups. Anyone else who tries to create a group is told "Only admins can create groups in this organisation." and has to ask an admin. Leave it off if teams set up their own groups.

  3. Decide how people reach Juristic support. With No Juristic support off, people can write to Juristic from Get in touch now in the sidebar, and book a call from Book support call on the home page. Turn it on to hide both, for example when your own IT team handles all questions about the firm's software.

  4. With support left on, add your IT team or the firm's Juristic project lead under Support request CC emails. Type an address and press Enter; add as many as you need. These addresses are copied on every support request anyone in the firm sends, so the firm always knows what has been raised. An entry that is not a valid email address is not kept.

  5. Choose Avatar initials: 1 letter to 4 letters, for the avatars that show who is who across Juristic. The page reloads to show the change. Match the firm's house style: if lawyers sign off with three initials, choose 3 letters.

The organisation's name and CVR number

The Organisation card above shows the firm's Organisation name and CVR number. Juristic sets these and they are greyed out for you. If the firm's name changes, contact Juristic support. The logo is yours to change, with Change logo: see put the firm's logo and colours on Juristic.

Tips from practice

  • Decide before the roll-out. Set the policies before the first lawyers sign in, so nobody creates a group that later has to be merged or archived. See get your firm started on Juristic.
  • Use a shared mailbox for CC. A team address keeps working when people change roles; a personal address goes quiet when they leave.
  • Hiding support hides the way in, not the help centre. With No Juristic support on, the help centre is still open to everyone from Knowledge bank in the sidebar. For how people contact support otherwise, see get help from Juristic support.
