Get a colleague's comments on the chart

Comment threads pinned to points on the chart, colleagues tagged and threads removed when settled.

Screenshots are taken from the app on every release. Updated 13 October 2026.

You have drawn the group structure for Project Alpha and want the partner's eye on it before it goes to the client: is the holding of Gamma ApS right, should the Luxembourg branch be shown at all. Written in an email, the comments lose their place on the chart. Pinned to the chart, each one sits beside the box it is about, and the discussion stays there until it is settled.

Two questions decide how you set it up. Is the colleague already on the matter? Only people on the matter can be tagged. And is the comment about one point on the chart, or about the structure as a whole?

Make sure the colleague can see the chart

If the reviewer is not on the matter yet, share the structure with them first. People you share a structure with also get access to the matter, and can then be tagged. See share your work with a colleague.

Pin a comment to the chart

  1. Open the structure and go to the slide you want comments on. Comments belong to the slide they are pinned on.

  2. Choose Add a comment (the speech bubble) in the toolbar, next to the text and note tools.

  3. Click the canvas beside the box or line the comment is about. A pin appears there with an empty comment. You can also drag the tool straight onto the spot.

  4. Write the comment. Say what you want decided, for example "Is the 60% holding in Gamma ApS before or after the capital increase?".

Tag the colleague

  1. In the comment, type @ and start typing the colleague's name, then pick them from the list. Only people on the matter are listed.

  2. Press Enter, or click the send arrow, to post it. The pin shows your initials, and colleagues with the same slide open see it straight away.

For a structure in a matter, the structure is then listed under You were mentioned on the colleague's home page, so they can find the comment; see catch up on what needs you.

Reply and close the discussion

  1. Click a pin to open its thread. Every comment shows who wrote it and when.

  2. Type a reply at the bottom of the thread and press Enter. Tag someone else with @ if the question needs to go further.

  3. When the point is settled, make the change on the chart and delete the thread with the bin at the top of it. The pin and its replies go for everyone.

Only the person who started a thread can delete it or move its pin. To move a pin, drag it; to delete it from the canvas, right-click it and choose Delete.

See who is working on it

When colleagues have the same slide open, their cursors move on the canvas with their names beside them. You can see who is changing what as you talk it through on a call, without asking.

Tips from practice

  • Settle every pin before the chart goes out. A pin is a question, not part of the chart. Ask whoever started each open thread to settle and delete it, so the version that goes to the client is the agreed one.
  • Comments are for the discussion, the chart is the record. The answer belongs on the chart itself: change the box, the percentage or the legend, then delete the thread. A comment that holds the answer disappears with the thread.
  • One point per pin. A separate pin for each question lets the partner settle them one at a time, and the thread that is still open is the question that is still open.
