Draft the explanation beside the chart
Slide text drafted from the diagram and edited with tracked changes the partner can accept or reject.
Screenshots are taken from the app on every release. Updated 13 October 2026.
Each step slide in the plan for Beta Holding A/S has the chart on one side and a text box on the other, and the client reads the text first: what happens in this step, between which companies, and what the group looks like afterwards. You draft it, the partner reviews it, and the version that goes out has to match the chart exactly.
Two questions decide how you start. Is there a firm text for this kind of step? Then start from the prompt library rather than a blank box. And who edits after you? If the partner will, turn on tracked changes before they start, so you can see what they changed.
Draft the text from the diagram
Double-click the text box beside the chart. The text toolbar opens above it.
Click AI Autofill in the toolbar and choose where the draft comes from.
What you have Choose What you get Only the chart Describe diagram A description of the diagram on this slide A prompt the team uses for this kind of step Prompt library The text that prompt asks for, from your Private or Team prompts or Juristic's Something particular to say Custom prompt Write what you want, "Explain the contribution of the shares in Gamma ApS to NewCo ApS in three sentences", and click Generate The draft replaces whatever was in the text box. If you liked the earlier text better, undo brings it back.
Edit the draft as you would any text: shorten it, put the legal terms in, and make the names match the boxes on the chart.
AI Autofill is on body text boxes, not on a slide title. If it is greyed out, your account does not have access to the AI tools.
Let the partner edit with tracked changes
Before you hand the slide over, double-click the text box, click Track changes in the toolbar and turn on Enable tracking. Show changes turns on with it.
The partner edits the text in the same box. Insertions and deletions are marked, and they stay marked when the structure is closed and opened again.
Go through the changes. Put the cursor in a change and choose Accept single change or Reject single change, or take them all at once with Accept all or Reject all. The accept and reject options only work while Show changes is on.
Turn off Enable tracking when the text is final. It stays on while there are changes you have not accepted or rejected.
When the text does not fit
A step that needs a long explanation runs past the bottom of the box. In a text box from your firm's slide layout, Juristic asks The content overflows the text box: would you like to continue on a new slide?
- Click one of the slide layouts shown to move the text that does not fit onto a new slide in that layout. Use this for a client deck, where text cut off at the edge of the slide would be lost.
- Click Let content overflow the box to keep it all on this slide and shorten it yourself.
- No, don't ask in this session and No, never ask again stop the question. To get it back, turn on Text overflow warning under Settings in the structure.
Moving text onto a new slide clears the undo history: nothing you did before it can be undone afterwards.
Tips from practice
- Check every name and figure against the chart. Describe diagram reads the chart as it is drawn: a wrong percentage on a line becomes a wrong percentage in the text. Correct the chart first, then the text.
- Draft when the chart is final. A text drafted before the last change to the step still describes the old step. Draft again, or edit by hand.
- Save the prompt that worked. If a custom prompt gave you the explanation the partner wanted, save it so the team can pick it from Prompt library next time: see save prompts the team reuses.
- Settle the changes before it goes out. Accept or reject every tracked change before you export the plan, so the text the client reads is the one you both agreed.
Building the slides themselves is in build a step plan for a reorganisation. For steps the firm explains the same way every time, fill step slides with the firm's standard texts instead. If a company is renamed after you have written the texts, change a name once across the step plan.
