Report usage by role, office and practice

A filtered usage report and Excel or CSV export showing how colleagues use Juristic by designation, office and practice group.

Screenshots are taken from the app on every release. Updated 2 November 2026.

The firm is reviewing a rollout and deciding where colleagues need more training. As an organisation admin, use the usage report to compare partners and associates, offices or practices, then export the people behind the figures for a meeting with the practice leads.

Two questions decide the report. Which period are you reviewing? And do you need a whole-firm breakdown or the people in one part of the firm? Designation comes from onboarding answers, such as Partner or Associate; it is separate from a person's administrator role.

Set the period and the people

  1. Open Admin panel and choose Usage. It is available when the firm's subscription includes it.

  2. Set Start date and End date for the period you want to review. The report starts with the last 30 days.

  3. Choose Designation, Office or Practice group to narrow the people in the report, or leave each on All. When you choose more than one, a person must match every choice.

The filters appear only for fields with recorded answers. If a field is missing, configure its options and fill in colleagues' answers, then open Usage again. You can record existing colleagues' answers from Users, without asking them to complete a first-sign-in form.

Below the charts, the people table shows Designation, Office and Practice group alongside sessions and tool creations.

Compare roles, offices or practices

  1. Choose a field under Group by. The summary adds up People, Sessions and creations of each tool for each answer, using the people who match your filters.

  2. Combine filters and grouping for a narrower question, such as associates in Copenhagen grouped by practice. No grouping removes the summary; the individual people remain listed below it.

The question Filters Group by
How do partners and associates compare across the firm? All Designation
Which offices are using Juristic in disputes? Practice group: Disputes Office
Which practices need training for Copenhagen associates? Designation: Associate, Office: Copenhagen Practice group

Not set gathers people who have not answered the field you group by. Keep the filters on All when you want those people included. The tool columns marked Last created show the most recent creation across all time, even when it falls outside your selected period.

Take the report to a meeting

  1. Click Export above the individual users' table.

  2. In Export options, check the Columns you need. Designation, Office and Practice group are selected by default under General; untick any column you do not need.

  3. Click Excel for a spreadsheet or CSV for a data file. The export contains the individual users matching your filters, in the table's sort order. Group by does not turn the export into the on-screen summary; use the three profile columns to make a summary in your spreadsheet.

Tips from practice

  • Fill the gaps first. A large Not set row means comparisons miss part of the firm's picture. Ask an admin to record the missing answers.
  • Compare like periods. Use the same dates and filters when taking figures to different practice leads.
  • Read totals with the people count. A larger practice may create more work because it has more people. The report is a starting point for deciding where support is needed.
