Keep each entity's documents on the chart

Each company and holding carrying its articles, agreements, notes and links, found from the chart.

Screenshots are taken from the app on every release. Updated 13 October 2026.

The group chart is where the team starts when a question comes up about a company: who owns it, on what terms, and where its papers are. Keeping the articles, the register extract and the board minutes on the company's box means the answer is one click away from the chart, not in a folder someone has to remember.

Decide which documents a colleague would reach for first on each entity, and what you know that the documents do not say, such as a pending share transfer or a question for the client.

Attach documents to a company

  1. Select the company's box. In the toolbar above it, click Documents.

  2. Choose where the documents come from. From computer uploads files such as the articles of association or minutes. From document picks a document already in Juristic. If your firm has connected its document management system, iManage, SharePoint or NetDocuments bring a copy in from there.

  3. Close the menu. A small document icon appears in the corner of the box, so anyone looking at the chart can see that papers are attached.

  1. With the box selected, click Notes in the toolbar.

  2. Write what the documents do not say: "Share transfer to Beta Holding A/S signed 3 March, not yet registered", or "Ask the client for the 2024 minutes".

  3. In Link, paste the full address (starting with https://) of a page the reader should go to, such as the company's page in the register or its folder in the data room. A link icon appears on the box, and clicking it opens the page.

Find them from the chart

Hover over a box that has documents, notes or a link, and click the Information icon. The panel opens on Documents and notes: the notes, each attached document with Open, and the link. You can add or change the notes and the link here as well, with Add notes and Add link.

For a company imported from the company register, the same panel also has the register's data, on tabs where the register has it: General info about the company, Accounting, Timeline, and for a Danish company Tax information. A button in the panel opens the company in the register itself. See look up a company before the meeting for what those tabs show.

Note the terms on an ownership line

A holding often has a story of its own: the share purchase agreement it came from, a pledge in favour of the lender, an option. Select the line between the two companies and click Documents and notes in its toolbar. Write the terms in Notes, for example "Acquired under SPA dated 12 May 2025; shares pledged to Delta Bank". Attach the agreement itself to the company that holds the shares.

Tips from practice

  • Notes travel with the structure. Everyone who can open the structure can open its notes, including people you share it with outside the firm. Keep internal views and questions for the client out of them before you share; see share a chart or chronology outside the firm.
  • Attach the version that matters. For the articles, attach the version in force, and say in the notes when it was last amended.
  • Use the link for anything that changes. A link to the register page always shows today's registration; an uploaded extract shows the day it was taken.

Before this, import a group from the company register or draw the group structure chart. When the chart has grown, work with a large group chart.
