Choose when people are e-mailed about access
The firm's choice of which access e-mails Juristic sends: when people join a team, get access through one, or are added to a matter or group by name.
Screenshots are taken from the app on every release. Updated 15 October 2026.
When access changes, the person who gains it may want to know: a new member of the disputes team should find the client's matters waiting, and a trainee added to a deal at short notice should not have to be told twice. Other firms prefer that the lawyer who adds a colleague tells them, and keep the inbox for client work. The firm decides once, for everyone.
One question decides each setting: should Juristic tell people, or will the person who gave access tell them?
Choose the e-mails
Open the Admin panel and choose Notifications under Organisation.
Under E-mail people when they're…, switch on the e-mails the firm wants and switch off the rest. Each change is saved at once.
Setting Juristic e-mails someone when Starts …added to a team They are added to a team, listing what the team gives them On …given access through a team A team they are on is given a matter or group On …added to a matter directly Someone adds them to a matter by name Off …added to a group directly Someone adds them to a group by name Off
The e-mails name only matters and groups the person could not open before, so nobody is told about a matter they already had, and the person who made the change is not e-mailed about it. Changes made at sign-in, when single sign-on updates the members of a team linked to the firm's directory, send no e-mail.
Tips from practice
- Teams on, direct invitations off suits most firms: a team change is often made by an admin the lawyer has never spoken to, while the partner who adds a trainee to a matter tells them anyway.
- Switch the direct e-mails on for big roll-outs. While matters are being staffed for the first time, an e-mail with the link saves the team from hunting for them.
- Sharing a single item is different. When someone shares a structure, timeline, board or insight internally, the colleague always gets an e-mail with the comment and the link; see share your work with a colleague.
