Catch up on what needs you

Your recent work, the comments waiting for your answer and your tasks due, from the home page.

Screenshots are taken from the app on every release. Updated 13 October 2026.

It is the start of the day, or you are back from a hearing or a week away. Before you open any one matter, you want to know where you left off, where colleagues are waiting for you, and what falls due. The home page answers all three across every matter you are on.

Two questions set the order. Who is waiting for me? And what is due before the end of the week?

Run through the home page

  1. Open Juristic. The home page is where you land after signing in; from anywhere else, open the scope selector at the top of the sidebar and pick the first row, with your organisation's name.

  2. Click You were mentioned. The table, You were mentioned in, lists each structure, timeline and task board where a colleague mentioned you in a comment, newest first, with the matter it belongs to. Click a row to open the work and answer the comment there, or click the matter's name to open the matter.

  3. Click My Work. Under My work everywhere are the tasks assigned to you on every board in every matter, grouped by their date: Earlier, Past week, Today, This week, Next week, This month, Later and Without a date. By default a group with nothing in it is left out. The number beside each group tells you how many tasks it holds, and Today opens by itself when something is due. Click the arrow beside a group to open it.

  4. Start with Earlier and Past week: their dates have passed. Open Hide and keep Hide completed ticked, so what is left there is what is overdue. Update a task's status or date in its row, or click the comment icon on a task to read and answer its comments.

  5. Click Recent to pick up where you left off. It lists the structures, timelines, task boards and insights you created or edited most recently in your matters; the Reason column says which (You created it or You edited it). The tabs above the table narrow it to one kind of work.

  6. Click Drafts if the tab shows a number. That is work you started outside a matter and have not filed yet: see file drafts into the right matter.

The tab you used last is the one the home page opens on next time, so if your day starts with your tasks, leave it on My Work.

Which tab for which question

Your question Tab
Who is waiting for an answer from me? You were mentioned
What is overdue, and what is due this week? My Work
Where was I working before I left? Recent
What did I start and not file? Drafts
What is shared with people outside the firm? Shared externally

Tips from practice

  • My Work is only as good as the assignments. A task reaches your list only when you are assigned to it, and it is sorted by its date. A task without a person reaches no one's list unless someone turns on Show unassigned tasks under Customise; a task without a date sits under Without a date. See assign and follow up the work.
  • The mentions list does not clear itself. It shows every place you were mentioned, answered or not. Work through it from the top and stop at the first comment you have already dealt with.
  • Recent is your own work. It shows what you created or edited, not what colleagues changed. To see who changed what in a matter, see find out who changed what.
  • Make My Work fit your practice. Customise sets the columns, which date counts, the boards included and whose tasks you see; see see everything you owe across your deals.

My Work is there when you have access to task boards. Looking for something particular rather than catching up? See find a matter or document fast.
