Save prompts the team reuses

A private or team prompt in the Prompt Bank, one keystroke away in any chat.

Screenshots are taken from the app on every release. Updated 14 October 2026.

On every matter the team asks JuristIQ the same few questions: summarise the key terms of each agreement, list the obligations and their deadlines, find every change of control clause. Once someone has tuned the wording so the answer comes back in the right shape, save it in the Prompt Bank. From then on it is one keystroke away in any chat, for you or for everyone in your organisation.

The question that decides how you save it: is this your own working prompt, or the team's standard?

Save a prompt

  1. Open JuristIQ, or the JuristIQ panel in a structure, timeline, board or insight, and write the prompt in the input as you would send it.

  2. Click the save icon beside the send button, or press ⌘S on a Mac or Ctrl+S on Windows. The icon appears as soon as there is text in the input; its tooltip reads Save to Prompt Bank (⌘S).

  3. Give the prompt a title that says what it produces, such as "Key terms table" or "Obligations and deadlines".

  4. Choose who it is for with the lock button next to the title. A new prompt is private; click the lock to make it a team prompt, and the tooltip changes to say so. A team prompt is shared with everyone in your organisation.

  5. Click the save button next to it, or press Enter. The prompt stays in the input, so you can still send it.

Load a saved prompt

  1. In any chat, type a slash (/) at the start of the input or after a space. Your saved prompts open below the input: favourites first, then the newest. A lock marks a private prompt and a people icon a team prompt. Prompts that Juristic has added for your organisation carry the Juristic mark; you can use them but not change them.

  2. Keep typing after the slash to narrow the list. JuristIQ searches the titles and the text of the prompts, and shows the best eight matches.

  3. Click the prompt, or move to it with the arrow keys and press Enter. Its text replaces the slash and what you typed after it, and nothing is sent yet: check the wording, fill in anything specific to this matter and send it.

You can also open the list from the plus button in the input (Upload documents and more): choose Load from Prompt Bank.

Change or remove a saved prompt

  1. Type a slash to open the list, point at the prompt and click the pencil icon at the end of its line.

  2. In Edit Prompt, change the Title or the Prompt. Click the star next to the dialog's title to mark the prompt as a favourite, so it is at the top of your list.

  3. To share a prompt you saved, or take it back, choose under Visibility: Private for only you, or Organisation for everyone in your organisation. Then click Save.

  4. To remove a prompt you no longer use, click Delete, then click it again when it asks Are you sure?

A private prompt can only be changed by the person who saved it. A team prompt can be changed by anyone in your organisation, so agree in the team who looks after the standard ones. Only the person who saved a prompt can change its Visibility; for everyone else it is greyed out. To adapt a team prompt for yourself without changing it for everyone, load it, change the wording in the input and save it again as a private prompt.

Tips from practice

  • Name the output in the prompt. "As a table with one row per agreement and columns for parties, term, governing law and change of control" gives the same shape of answer on every matter; "summarise the agreements" does not.
  • Leave the matter out of the wording. Write "the attached agreements" rather than the client's name, so the prompt works on the next matter too. Where something must be filled in, put it in square brackets, such as [target company], and replace it before you send.
  • Favourites are your own. Starring a team prompt puts it at the top of your list, not your colleagues'.
  • Standing instructions are not prompts. If JuristIQ should always answer in a certain way, such as in British English or with citations to the documents, ask your admins to set it once for the firm: see give JuristIQ the firm's standing instructions.

Next, put a saved prompt to work: draft a memo from the matter's documents.
