The firm's DocuSign account connected, active and set as the default, ready for deal teams to send signing documents from their boards.
Screenshots are taken from the app on every release. Updated 13 October 2026.
A deal team wants to send the signing documents through DocuSign straight from the deal board, instead of building every envelope by hand. Before they can, the firm's DocuSign account has to be connected to Juristic. As an organisation admin you do that once, together with whoever administers the firm's DocuSign account.
Two questions decide the set-up. Which DocuSign accounts does the firm sign from? And which of them do most deals sign from?
| The firm's situation | What to set up |
|---|---|
| One DocuSign account for the whole firm | One integration, active and default |
| Separate accounts, for example per office or region | One integration per account, named so senders can tell them apart, with the one most deals use as the default |
Get the account details from DocuSign
- Ask the firm's DocuSign administrator to open Apps and Keys in DocuSign's admin settings and copy two values from the account information: the API Account ID and the Account Base URI.
Create the integration
In Juristic, open the menu under your name and click Admin panel. Under Other, click Integrations. The Docusign section lists the firm's DocuSign integrations with their Status and whether each is the Default.
Click Create Docusign Integration.
Fill in Basic Information. Under Integration name, give it the name deal teams will see when they choose an account to send from, such as DocuSign EU. Paste the API Account ID under Account ID. Under Base URL, paste the Account Base URI, or leave it empty and Juristic sets it automatically.
Under Status & Settings, turn on Active Integration so the account is available for sending. Turn on Default Integration to make it the firm's default DocuSign account. Only an active integration can be the default, and turning Active Integration off turns Default Integration off with it.
Click Create. The integration appears in the list as Active, and as Default if you made it the default.
What the deal team sees
Deal teams send signing documents from the board's Signing view. When they send, they choose which of the firm's DocuSign accounts to send from, by the name you gave it. The first time someone sends, Juristic asks them to log in to DocuSign: they click Log in to Docusign and sign in with their own DocuSign user. If no integration is set up, Send to signing tells them so, and admins see a button to the Admin panel.
Change or retire an integration
- Click the integration in the list to open it, change what you need and click Edit to save. To stop the firm sending from an account, turn Active Integration off; the list then shows it as Deactivated.
Tips from practice
- Name it for the sender. The integration name is what a lawyer picks from when sending at a signing. "DocuSign EU" or "DocuSign Nordic" says more than an account number.
- Check the deal team have DocuSign users. Everyone who sends signs in to DocuSign as themselves, so they need a user on the firm's DocuSign account before the closing, not on the day.
- Test before the first signing. Send a test envelope from a board with your own email address as the only signatory, and check it arrives from the right account.
How deal teams send and follow the envelopes is in send the signing documents through DocuSign. The signed documents then go into the closing binder.
